The pleasantness of the Vojsko plateau with exceptional view reigns over the steep hillsides above the Kanomljica and the Idrijca. The easiest access is via the steep road (15 km) from Idrija. From the Tolmin direction, you can also visit Vojsko from Trebuša, and also Predmeja, through the Trnovski gozd forest and from Kanomlja.

Before you even reach Vojsko, pay attention to the solitary rocks at Kočevše and gaze over the Trohova ravan, where beautiful flowers bloom through the summer.

The round trail, also suitable for cycling, starts in the centre of the village at the parish church of St. Joseph. Before Ogalce the steep path cuts down to the completely preserved Partisan printing shop Slovenija from the year 1944. Past the partisan burial site at Vojščica take a walk to Hudournik (1148 m). It offers a magnificent view at the breaking point of famous Idrija Fault and all the way to Most na Soči, and towards the North at Julijske and Kamniške Alpe mountain ranges with Triglav.

From Hudournik you descend past Medved and Stržnkar to the farm Gačnik. Continue along the road past Brdar farm, where you can see a collection of old tools and an old forge. From here there's just a short way to the beautiful Brdar waterfall, which is the highest lying waterfall in the Gačnik ravine.

Through the valley Gačnik you return towards Vojsko past the wetlands, where your attention might be attracted to the numerous special swamp plants and unusually shaped bare, sandy hills. Past Bendije, you climb to the lookout at Jelenji vrh (1,147 m), which offers amazing views at the mighty northern border of the Trnovski gozd forest and Poldanovec, the Trebuščica valley beneath, the Hudo polje, Bukov vrh (ancient forest) and the precipious Govci.
In the summer months the Vojsko plateau invites with rich meadows in bloom, in the winter time, numerous skiers are attracted to cross country skiing routes offering amazing views across the diverse landscape, and a smaller skiing centre.
