You are invited to participate in an international lace competition
Due to the situation the tender was postponed to 2021 in 2020 and is now being moved to 2022 as part of the 40th Idrija Lace Festival.
Certainly there are many of you who already know Idrija lace, even more precisely technique Idrijski ris, you master it and you already use it in your creation.
In order to use as much creativity as possible we kindly invite you to participate in an international lacemaking competition where the only condition is to use at least half of technique the idrijski ris, leaving everything else to your imagination, knowledge and hard work.
We sincerely look forward to your bobbin lace artworks, which we will exhibit and publish and the most beautiful ones will also be awarded.
COMPETITION TOPIC: Idrijski ris
Idrijski ris offers many possibilities of expression in the design of patterns. The harmony of form, the right choice of materials and the combination with other lace-making techniques can bring us new, original solutions. Allow the imagination to draw a pencil with an original motif in the technique of Idrijski ris to make the hands feel the softness of the thread and to create creativity and knowledge with lace.
