PROGRAMME:

3 July at 20:30 – JEZDECI ŠKRLATNE KADULJE
Folk, blues

This unique band performs poetry by American psychedelic lyricist Robert Hunter, best known for his work with the legendary West Coast rock band Grateful Dead. Two of the group’s members, Boštjan and Vid, translated and humorously adapted his lyrics into Slovenian and local cultural contexts. Their repertoire also includes traditional Appalachian ballads and original compositions. With an almost “unplugged” sound, the band blends folk, rock, and country into a dynamic and compelling acoustic experience.

10 July at 20:30 – KELE ‘N’ FANGL
Classic rock

Kele’n’fangl is a seven-member band from Žiri. Their repertoire reflects the diverse musical tastes of each member, with a focus on iconic bands from the 1960s and 70s such as Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who, and Pink Floyd. They also perform songs by artists like Norah Jones, Cyndi Lauper, and Tracy Chapman.

Line-up:
Tina Žakelj – vocals
Neža Oblak – vocals

These seasoned musicians (and one younger member) unite under the banner of the eternally green island, channeling the spirited and sometimes melancholic tradition of Irish-Celtic music.
