42nd Idrija Lace Festival
The opening ceremony of the festival titled “White Dreams” will be dedicated to this broad spectrum of usability and excellence of Idrija lace. Directed by Dušan Moravec and scripted by Valerija Božič & Karlo Kirri, the stage will feature the music group Divje Jezero with guest Tinkara Kovač, Tjaša Jurman, Ema Nina Kacin, and Karlo Kirri.
A day before the official start of the festival, a special dance-music performance by Tjaša Bucik titled “Lace” will take place at the Gallery of St. Barbara, preceding the opening of the exhibition by the Cinnabar Art Society.

We also announce the grand Saturday concert, where big names of the Slovenian music scene will perform – Big Foot Mama, Jure Lesar with band, and TačMi Brass Band.
As every year, we prepare a rich accompanying program aimed at all generations – creative workshops, craft fairs, lace-making equipment fairs, group lace making, guided tours of tourist attractions, theatrical performance by Marina Melhiorca, dance performances, a wide range of catering options, and much more.
The heart of the festival remains the Sunday national lace-making competition for children and adults for the Ivanka Ferjančič Recognition, followed by an afternoon of dance performances and entertainment with the folk music group Vagabundi.
